16 Nights/ 17 Days : Chennai-Mahibalipuram-Kanchipuram-Pondicherry-Trichy-Madurai-Rameshwaram-Kodaikonal-Kanyakumari-Periyar-Kumarakom-Alleppy-Kovalam-Bangalore-Mysore-Ooty
   
 

Day 1 - Arrive Chennai Arrive Chennai and meet the representative at the arrival hall. Upon arrival straight away transfer to Mahabalipuram. Arrive Mahabalipuram and check - in at hotel.

   
 
Day 2 - In Mahabalipuram-Kanchipuram Morning visit the places to be visited in Mahabalipuram Temples, where every one can point out the rock-cut caves, temples made from a single rock, temples and strives of different structures, and bas-reliefs which are so artistic and sheer creativity. Later visit Kancheepuram, one of the seven sacred cities of India and also home to the famous silk and cotton weaving industry.
 
 

Day 3 - To Pondicherry Morning drive to Pondicherry. Arrive Pondicherry and check - in at the hotel. Later visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram, where Sri Aurobindo and the Mother lived for the most parts of their lives, attracts tourists to this little city. The Pondicherry Museum is home to some of the most exquisite collections on architecture and sculpture.

 

Day 4 - To Trichy Morning drive to Trichy. Arrive Trichy and check - in at hotel. Later visit The Rock Fort Temple, an enchanting temple unique in its own way makes a must visit site of Trichi. The Tiruvanaikkaval Temple is famous for its Siva lingam. Srirangam is an island on the river Cauvery.

 

Day 5 - To Madurai Morning drive to Madurai (142 km). Arrive Madurai and check - in at hotel. Later visit Meenakshi Temple, where the 1,000-pillared hall has stone figures carved on the pillars, some of which sound like metal when hit with an object. Also visit Tirumalai Nayaka Temple and the Temple Art Museum.

 
 

Day 6 - Madurai to Rameshwaram or Kodaikanai The sixth day is kept for a whole day of sight seeing in Madurai. You can choose to visit an excursion either to Kodaikanal or Rameshwaram.

Day 7 - Madurai to Kanya Kumari and Periyar Start in the morning from Madurai to Kanya Kumari (Cape Comorin), the meeting point of three oceans and the last end of India. The distance is about 285 km. There after further proceed to Periyar.

   
 

Day 8 - Periyar to Kumarakom After breakfast proceed for en-route visit to Periyar National Park to watch the rare species of plants and animals. Finally proceed to Kumarakom. It is located on the Vembanad Lake. On arrival check - in to the hotel for over night stay.

Day 9 - In Kumarakom Breakfast will be at hotel visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Truly an oasis for bird lovers, the sanctuary is home to the variety of avifaunal species. Overnight stay at the hotel.

   
 

Day 10 - To Alappuzha (Alleppy) Breakfast will be at hotel and Check in Houseboat. Cruise your way to Alappuzha while enjoy the best of nature’s pristine beauty. No tour to Kerala is complete without a splendid backwater cruise. Experience the romance of the backwater during your tour. Night stay in Houseboat.

   
 

Day 11 - To Kovalam Have your breakfast at hotel and check out and proceed to Kovalam. On your arrival, you will be taken to the hotel. Kovalam is widely known for its shimmering palm-fringed beaches. Upon arrival at Kovalam, check in at the hotel. Relax for some time. Visit the beach in the evening. Overnight will be at resort in Kovalam.

   
 

Day 12 - To Bangalore (via Trivandrum by Air) After early breakfast drive to Trivandrum airport to board the flight for Bangalore. On arrival check - in to the hotel to spend the night.

Day 13 - In Bangalore After breakfast city sight seeing tour visiting Lag Bagh which is aesthetically designed, with lawns, flower beds, lotus pools fountains and a floral clock. Most of the centuries old trees are labelled for easy identification, Bangalore Palace, which is inspired by the Windsor Castle, it was built in 1887 by Chamaraja Wodeyar in Tudor-style. This 110 year old palace, largely constructed of wood, is famous for its carving and paintings etc.

   
 

Day 14 - To Mysore After breakfast chauffer driven to Mysore. On arrival check - in at hotel. There after visit the Palace, the Fort of Tipu Sultan - It is also known as Palakkad Fort and was built by Hyder Ali, the emperor of Mysore (1717-1782) and Brindavan Garden - the garden is constructed below the Krishnarajasagar dam across the river Cauvery. The garden is embellished with vast expanses of well-laid out lawns, diverse kaleidoscopic rows of flowers and above all the amazing site of fountains encompassing a small beautiful lake holding the charm of musical fountain in its center. Back to the hotel for over night stay.

   
 

Day 15 - Ooty After breakfast drive to Ooty, which is the queen of hills stations in India. Reach and check - in a hotel and the remaining day is at leisure/ visit to Botanical Garden and go for lake boating to enjoy natural beauty of Ooty. Over night at the hotel.

Day 16 - In Ooty After breakfast enjoy the toy train. This is the only heritage train and runs at the highest elevated place in Southern India which runs at a speed of not more than 12 km/hour. This train covers a distance of 46 km in a five hours journey passing through Hilligrove, Coonoor, Wellington, Aravankadu, Keeti, Lovedale stations and finally ends at Udagamandalam or Ooty. Over night at the hotel.

   
 

Day 17 - To Bangalore After early breakfast proceed to Bangalore in time to Bangalore airport to catch the flight for your onward journey.
